Gustavo González-Gaitano received a M.S. degree in Chemistry (1992) and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (1997) from the Universidad Complutense. Subsequently, he joined the School of Sciences of the Universidad de Navarra. From 2013 to 2014 he was visiting professor at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Science of King's College London. Appointed as a Professor of Physical Chemistry in 2016 and Head of the Department of Chemistry at Universidad de Navarra, his research interests span the fields of colloids and soft matter (self-assembled structures based on surfactants, cyclodextrins and their polymers, with environmental and pharmaceutical applications) as well as nanocomposite materials (multifunctional nanocomposites based on cyclodextrins).
