About the meeting
Welcome to the 6th European Conference on Cyclodextrins!
After the very successful scientific meetings in Aalborg (2009), Asti (2011), Antalya (2013), Lille (2015) and Lisbon (2017), the 6th European Conference on Cyclodextrins will be held in Santiago de Compostela in 2019.
The organizing committee is formed by representatives of research groups from all along Spain geography actively involved in very broad fields in which cyclodextrins perform as unique tools. Thus, our goal is that the congress will be a multidisciplinary meeting point, covering from cyclodextrin production, chemistry and modeling, to applications in diverse fields including analytical chemistry, drug formulation, gene therapy, regenerative medicine, cosmetics, food, bioremediation and agriculture, among others.
The conference will be held on 2.5 days: from Wednesday (morning) until Friday (noon), with a first contact on Tuesday (evening) for documentation pickup and a cultural guided walk tour through the intriguing streets of the downtown and the marvelous monuments of the more than five centuries old University of Santiago de Compostela. Regional culture and vineyards will deserve an exciting evening on Thursday.
From Wednesday to Friday, ten intense sessions will be organized combining invited lectures presented by distinguished invited speakers, giving up-to-date overviews in the respective fields, short talks selected from submitted abstracts, and flash communications presenting the contents of outstanding posters on the broad field of cyclodextrins science and technology. During the entire conference, the posters section will be an attractive meeting point where young and experienced scientists from academia and industry will share their latest research achievements in a distended atmosphere.
Attendees will have an excellent opportunity to gain an insight into
Knowledge – learn the latest findings on raw materials, products, procedures and equipment affecting cyclodextrins field, and how to integrate them into the own research.
Networking – directly engage people working in complementary fields, make professional connections and create scientific synergies.
Innovation – discover the similar challenges faced by other researchers and keep the mind open to novel ways of dealing with chemistry, biomedical, food technology and ecological problems exploiting the endless capabilities of cyclodextrins.
The organizing committee cordially invites you to join the 6th European Conference on Cyclodextrins and would be glad to welcome you in Santiago de Compostela!
